My True Love

My Valentine is of course my sweetheart, the love of my life, and my husband, Peter. He's the man the Lord gave to me to be the hero of my heart and the ray of sunshine to my soul. I also have 4 daughters at home who continually add sweetness to my life and meaning to my existence. My son no longer lives at home, but has always touched my tender spot and I love them all dearly. But speaking of Valentines I have to share this testimony of the ultimate True Love:

      In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and this being Valentine’s weekend,

I was asked by the assistant Music Director to give my testimony of

 When I First Fell In Love…With The Lord.

I didn’t get saved until I was an adult,

So, I do know the exact day and how many years ago it was.

I’ve given my testimony before, but when asked in the light of Valentine’s

it led me to reflect on it in a different way.

My earliest recollection of the Lord was when I was very young, maybe 7.

I knew I loved God. I feared and revered Him-as a child with a parent.

I prayed and talked to Him all the time,

but I didn’t know Christ as my personal Saviour.

I didn’t know how or that I was supposed to.

Well, many years and many heart breaks later,

I met the Man of my dreams.

He spoke true love to me, made me true promises & kept them.

He taught me how to live and for the 1^st time I believed Him-

Wholeheartedly, knowing He spoke the truth and

He would never leave me.

  It was Oct. 11^th, 1996, I gave my heart to Him.

He is Jesus Christ, my personal Saviour.

I knew then and there that Christ died for me so I could be redeemed & live eternally!

No matter what comes-good or bad, I am so thankful for His mercy & love

Saving me from my sin.

So to my TRUE LOVE
